The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public today and while I won’t be sharing a list of all my favorite items as per usual I did want to highlight my favorite piece I brought from the sale.
This cream colored silk skirt is the addition I seriously needed in my summer to fall wardrobe and during the sale it’s only $50. I know this type of skirt can be intimidating because not only is the fit hard to get right, but I often hear friends say they don’ know how to style a silk skirt in their everyday lives! So to prove to y’all that this really is a piece you can wear a number of ways I wanted to share 5 ways to style it right now and later!
PS If you’re wondering, the three pieces I kept from the sale are of course this gorgeous skirt, these everyday booties, and these leather look leggings I’ve wanted for a few seasons now!

Basic Tee & Jean Jacket
I think the answer to any styling question can be a tee and denim jacket! This will probably be the way I wear this skirt the most because you can easily switch the basic white tee I have here for a striped or graphic tee to make it a little more fun!

A Night Out
This is my only dressy look with this skirt, because to be honest I might be a bit terrified to wear this beautiful skirt out at night and have some drunk guy spill his drink on it. However, if you’re headed out for a special dinner or a nicer night out you can easily pair this skirt with a tight black top and black accessories.

Beach Weekend
I’m telling you this skirt can take you anywhere! If you’re headed to a beach town for vacation this summer this skirt is the perfect way to look chic walking around town! I love an all white or neutral look so I paired the skirt with my most beachy crop top and my favorite straw bag and hat.

Chunky Sweater & Fall Sneakers
Now for the first fall look! Once the colder temperatures roll in the easiest way to fallify this skirt is to add texture and layers! I tucked a chunky sweater into the skirt and paired with my calf hair sneakers and snakeskin bag to really amp up all the texture! Plus, once it gets really cold you can easily throw a black leather jacket over this look!

A Little Western
Western esque styles have been trendy for a while and maybe it’s from working for a Texas based company, but I’ve loved it! For this look I kept my top simple but added a longer darker denim jacket, suede booties, and my favorite fall wool hat. Also, to transition this look into even chillier temps you can switch out this booties for a knee high boot to keep your legs warmer and even add tights below the skirt! I always get sick of pants every day once winter comes and this skirt is the perfect way to get around that!
And there you have it! 5 ways to style a cream silk skirt!
I’d love to know which look was your favorite and if you guys would like to see more posts like this so let me know below in the comments!
