I’ve just started my hunt for a winter coat and even though I’ve lived in the Northeast for seven years I’m pretty unexperienced in this area. Let’s just say in the past I generally have ran from my car to a warm building shivering in a light jacket. Unfortunately, attempting to wear a light jacket all winter isn’t going to work well in the city. I have a 15 minute walk to classes every morning and I don’t plan on shivering the whole way there everyday.
However, I don’t want to buy a coat that I will hate wearing because it looks like a puffy ski jacket. I’ve been scrolling through my pinterest feed for inspiration, because really what better way is there to waste time and while also being productive. I think I’ve decided on a style similar to a classic peacoat instead of a parka or military style. I was originally thinking a neutral navy or black but shades of red have really been catching me eye. A deep maroon would go with my entire winter wardrobe perfectly!
What is your ideal winter coat? I would love suggestions since I’m still pretty lost in this whole search.
