Midi Dresses to Avoid a 'Marilyn' Moment • caroline st francis

After this weekend I am counting down the days until Summer Fridays and weekends. It’s hard to believe we’re just three weeks away from Memorial Day even if it has been the longest winter ever. Those ‘walk out the door in a breezy dress to spend the entire day outside’ days are some of my favorites so I was happy to get a bit of that this weekend, even if I did have to throw a sweater over my dress.

When it comes to New York City, or really any other windy city, I’m sure we’ve all had those ‘oh crap’ moments where a gust of wind comes along and blows your dress right up – Ya feel me? I can’t stand it when that happens and the anticipation is even worse. To avoid those Marilyn moments, midi dresses have become my favorite summer in the city pieces! This dress I’m wearing is one of my best purchases from last spring and it’s already getting plenty of wear for year number two since it can be dressed up or down so easily.

While the dresses are a bit pricy for my usual budget, I am pretty close to ordering one since I’ve heard such amazing things!
