One of the most loved piece in my closet is the long sleeve dress to take you from humid summer days to chilly fall adventures.

While September is my favorite month of the year (see here for an explanation), it’s also a month where shopping can be a little tricky. You don’t want to purchase cozy sweaters that you won’t wear until November, but it’s also time to put away your cutoff shorts.
This time of year I turn to the number one staple piece in my closet – the long sleeve dress. No lie, I have at least seven or eight long sleeve dresses in my closet that can take me from work to the weekend. See here, here, and here for some of my favorites in the last year. I’m literally wearing that last one as I write this.
This time of year I’ll easily wear my long sleeve dresses solo with a pair of sneakers or loafers and then as it gets colder start layering on jackets or even a pull over sweater on top such as I did here. Then when winter eventually rolls around (UGH) pairing them with tights and over the knee boots will keep you plenty warm when you get sick of the jeans and a sweater combo.
I have a feeling that this year my favorite combo is going to be the one below! Cute booties and a wool hat – I’m thinking about adding this felt one to my collection for this fall! You can shop the entire outfit at the bottom of this post!
