Happy Friday! This week has been both a long one at work and a very inspiring one, so while I’m excited for a little R&R I’m also feeling the creative juices flow as I start to plan holiday content which will be ramping up next week!
As we all start packing up to head home for the holiday week I wanted to share a bit of outfit inspiration for Thanksgiving. As I mentioned in my post on Wednesday, I like to keep Thanksgiving simple & casual so that I can go from the football game to chowing down. Keep scrolling for four ways to dress for the holiday (and PS they’ve never been posted on the blog before!).
OUTFIT ONE: CABLE KNIT SWEATER & DENIM
This look is my weekend go-to and it carries over perfectly for Thanksgiving! Make sure to wear stretchy denim like these so you’re not having to unbutton your pants by the end of the night. Plus, bring along a beanie from your favorite team to show a bit of spirit.
OUTFIT TWO: PLAID & OTK BOOTS
Plaid is basically the unofficial (or maybe official?) pattern of the fall, so pull out a loose plaid top and throw it over either black jeans or leggings. Add OTK boots to this look to make it look a bit more pulled together and a leather jacket to add a bit of an edge.
OUTFIT THREE: JEAN JACKET & SUEDE LEGGINGS
Suede leggings might be the ultimate Thanksgiving pants because they’re soft and stretchy but look so pulled together! Add a boyfriend button down if the weather is warm or a sweater if it’s chilly. This might also be your last chance to wear your favorite mules, so pull out your favorites before the snow starts to fall!
OUTFIT FOUR: TIE SWEATER & SUEDE BOOTS
Tie sweaters are one of my favorite trends of the fall, but most importantly they’re a lot more practical than the bell sleeve trend when it comes to sitting down for a meal. There are some really cute affordable options as well so this is a fun holiday piece that won’t break the bank. Pair with black jeans (or leggings if you think they can be considered pants…) and some fun statement boots! I love these ones that I got earlier this fall!
