Ah summer, the season of Central Park picnics, weekend trips, and patio happy hours – We’re just 9 days away from Memorial Day Weekend and it’s clear New Yorkers are ready for the next 4 months to begin. With the impending holiday I’ve finally pulled my full summer wardrobe out of storage (aka under my bed). If you’re a long time follower you’ll know means there’s a whole lot of red white and blue coming your way! See evidence from last summer here and here. As much as I try to otherwise, this patriotic color combo seems to always define my summer wardrobe.

While I’ll leave the full stars and stripes for the 4th of July, my favorite blue striped pieces are 100% making the packing list for MDW! Both this off the shoulder blouse and linen pants in this outfit look great paired with basics (white tee or jeans), but there’s just something fun about combining them for a full striped look that I love! It gives me total jumpsuit vibes!

Headed to the beach? Grab a pair of these adorable eyelet denim cutoffs and throw on your favorite striped tee.

If you’ll be hopping between backyard barbecues, keep it simple but fun with a gingham top and high waisted denim.
