February Favorites

Rounding up my favorite purchases of February from a budgeting app to a new iPhone!

You guys, February seriously flew by! Isn’t it crazy how just a couple days can really throw off a month? I feel like I was just writing this post for January. That being said, I’m excited for the second installment of my monthly favorites! We’re a bit light this month as there weren’t too many amazing discoveries, but I did have some major purchases like my new iPhone that needed their moment ☺️

MINT Budgeting

February both a good and not so good month financially. I was promoted and got a bonus (woot woot), but also went a little crazy with that extra money sitting in the bank (oops). At the end of the month I knew I needed to take back control, so I downloaded Mint to not only track my spending but keep me within my budget. While I’m calling this a “purchase” it’s actually free and you can connect not only your bank account but also student loans and your Venmo!  I definitely recommend starting on desktop to input all your info and build out your budget. Then use the mobile app for everyday checking in! Would you guys be interested in more posts focusing on spending and budgeting?

Sam Edelman Loafers

My black loafers are probably the best purchase I’ve made in the last year – they’re classic and the quality is amazing for the price. While I’d love to splurge on the similar Gucci pair, an $800 pair of shoes does not fit in my Mint budget hah. They’re part of the Shopbop Sale (tomorrow is the last day!) and it’s basically the only time they’re ever on sale. I added the white pair to my collection and they’ll be perfect with dresses and jeans this spring! If you’re looking for a go with everything shoe to add to your spring wardrobe these are perfect! There are some fun colors and patterns as well as the standard neutrals.

PS I also picked up these adorable slip on sandals from the sale for my upcoming trip!

iPhone XS

I posted earlier this month on Instagram that I was deciding between upgrading to either Xs or Xr. On the iPhone Upgrade plan the Xs is about $15 more a month so I wasn’t sure whether it would be worth it to shell out more money each month for the Xs. This article definitely gave me the best advice and ultimately led me to pick the Xs. For me it’s totally worth it for the extra nice camera and slightly smaller size (I hate big phones), but I’ve heard from a ton of people that they love their Xrs! I picked up this springy phone case for now, but I’m waiting for my favorite phone case from here to come back in stock to get a personalized one!
