The holiday season is officially starting on When and Wear today!
Don’t worry – I’m still super focused on Thanksgiving and will be sharing a few Thanksgiving outfit ideas later this week, but after a quick Instagram poll it seems y’all are ready for the gift guides to begin even if it does seem crazy early.
My goal is to share one gift guide a week up until Christmas, and to start off I wanted to share my four go-to holiday gifts for anyone on your list! These are the gifts that work for everyone from your mom to your boss while still being somewhat personal.
- COFFEE TABLE BOOKS // Coffee table books are the thing that you always want but never want to buy yourself, ya know what I mean? They’re the type of clutter that you actually love to have in your apartment and home. While this gift is great for everyone, just make sure you know the receiver well enough to pick out a book that aligns with something they love. Pro Tip: Browse books on Anthropologie and then check Amazon to see if they have your favorites for less.
- PRETTY CANDLES // Candles are my go-to hostess gift for holiday dinners or when exchanging small gifts with friends. A nice candle doesn’t have to cost you an arm and leg (looking at you diptique), so search around at your favorite stores and also Marshalls or TJ Maxx.
- WILLIAMS SONOMA FAVORITES // I looovveee everything at Williams Sonoma, especially their holiday bread mixes and flavored hot chocolates. Not only are these small gifts fun on their own, but you can also combine different mixes for themed gift boxes. Try picking up a pretty mug and wrapping it up with marshmallows and hot chocolate for a perfect winter evening setup.
- ANYTHING MONOGRAMMED // These days literally everything comes monogrammed from passport covers to scarves to cheese boards. Mark & Graham is my favorite place for monogrammed pieces and you can find gifts at all different prices. I love a cheese board for my parents or a cute clutch for my female co-workers.
That’s it for the first gift guide of 2017! I’ve got a few open spots left for the season so let me know if there’s a particular gift guide you’d like to see!
