I finally got a pair of winter boots from Cougar Shoes to keep me warm through snowy Northeast Winters!

The countdown to Christmas is on and I am truly counting the HOURS until I’m headed home for some festive family time.
Part of the reason I’m excited to head home this winter is for the gorgeous snow by my parents house! Despite the fact that we’ve barely scratched the winter surface they’ve already gotten 16+ inches of snow! Crazy right?!?
Growing up in New England you’d think I’d be an old pro with snow, but the reality is I didn’t actually get good at winter dressing until I started living in NYC. There’s nothing quite like ending up in a wind tunnel with a negative 5 degree windchill to make you go out and invest in some real winter clothes.
Last year I finally got a true winter coat to keep me warm and this year it’s all about finding the perfect winter boot that is both stylish and warm! So when the Cougar Shoes team reached out to me to try out their new boot, the Vanetta, it was perfect timing!

The Vanetta Boot
I’m honestly pretty mad at myself now for waiting so long to get a real pair of winter boots. The moment I put them on I realized what I’d been missing! The Vanetta boots are SO warm and are made for jumping through NYC slush puddles (they’re waterproof!) or playing with my dogs out in the snow when I visit home. They also come up to a perfect height to make sure your feet don’t get wet without being uncomfortable or heavy to walk in.
Plus, the most important part, at least to me 😂 is how cute they are! The faux fur and maroon laces add make wearing these functional boots actually fun. Mine are the Pewter, but they also come in a Mushroom color that would look adorable styled with an all white outfit. Add a cute fair isle sock and you’ve basically mastered snowy chic haha.

PS If you’re checking out the Cougar Shoes site sometime you may see a familiar face on their blog. It’s me! Check out the post to learn a little more about me and some other bloggers who Cougar has worked with!
